Gay news, bigot Arizona mayor, gays still banned from donating blood ,shelter in NY vandalized, Iceland gay marriage

12 06 2010

A Yuma, Arizona mayor does not want a repeal of DADT because lacy-drawered, limp-wristed gays can never do what military people have done in the last. He says Lincoln and Washington would have said the same things. Yeah, the world has not changed in over 100 years.

Against science and odds gays are still not allowed to donate blood. After 2 days of hearings a HHS committee voted 9-6 against recommending lifting the FDA ban on gays donating blood. Anyone that has had gay sex since 1977 is not allowed to donate. Retarded.

A shelter in Queens, New York for homeless LBGT Youth was hit with anti-gay vandalism thursday night. One of the walls read “We don’t want gays here.” What a bunch of fucking cowards to do that to kids that are already so vulnerable and often abused. The Ali Forney is such a great initiative because so many LGBT youth have no home after parents disown then and throw them out. Donations are always needed.

Iceland’s parliament voted 49-0!!!  to legalize gay marriage. Wish the U.S would only have 60% of that. Iceland is also the country with the first elected openly gay head of state and a country I would love to visit for its natural beauty. With their economy in the shitter they know that there are way more important things then to keep people from being equal in love.

Gay news, Amsterdam number 1 in freedom, anti-gay christian leader caught with rentboy, Argentina gay marriage?, Evan Lysacek hurt by gay rumors

5 05 2010

Amsterdam is still the most “free” city under the most progressive ones in the world. Johannesburg , Goa, Bangkok, Rio, Vegas, San Francisco, London, Berlin and Amsterdam were tested on 7 pillars, like sexuality, religion, economy and law. Freedom of press and democracy are good here and the legal soft drugs, prostitution and gay marriage are also big plusses. Johannesburg closed the list.

George Alan Rekers is one of America’s most noted anti-gay activist. The religious leader is firmly against gay adoption and in favor of mental help to turn gays straight and is also one of the founders of the anti-gay Focus on the Family. He went to Europe for 10 days and took an escort who is on the gay site rentboy.com to come with him and was caught at the Miami airport. Rekers said he needed the escort to help him carry his luggage because he just had surgery. Haha. Why he was the one carrying all the luggage at the airport and rented a hooker he does not explain. What a fool.

Argentina’s House of Representatives(deputies) has passed a marriage equality bill today with 129-105 votes. Now it needs to get through the Senate where opposition is strong. Hope it will pass there as well though and then off the marriage for Argentinian gays.

Evan Lysacek explained why he reacted so strong against Johnny Weir last week. He was so upset and hurt about Johnny questioning Evan’s sexuality. Please, Lady. Get over it, you are a figure skater in sequined, rhinestoned Vera Wang costumes….

Gay news; Lawmakers thinks gays in military will cause more terror, Pride-house opened in Vancouver, new gay mega club coming to NYC

12 02 2010

Missourri State Senator Gary Nodler, candidate for Congress thinks the repeal od DADT would inspire acts of terrorism because muslims are offended by homosexuality. He thinks it would put the soldiers and America in general at further risk. What a buffoon. Like the terrorist does not wanna harm american soldiers anyway, them being gay makes not a slight bit of difference. Like they love the christian and jewish soldiers!!

The Olympic Pride House, a place to meet, get info and resources and welcome center for the GLBT community during the Winter Olympics was opened yesterday. It is kinda cool gay athletes have a place to go but I think most people just wanna stay with their team mates wether gay or straight then go to a gay house but I might be wrong. The Netherlands has 2 openly lesbian speed skaters, Ireen Wust and Renate Groeneworld, both multiple olympic medal winners and world champions. In the Netherlands skeed skating is as popular as American Football in the U.S and the girls make a lot of money with sponsors but nobody batted an eyelid when they came out. Not a big deal in Holland as it should be.

At West 42nd Street between 10/11 Ave. plans are for The Out NYC, a hospitality and entertainment club geared to the LGBT community. 80.000 square feet of fun. It will have a hotel with 123 guest rooms, a huge dance club, gym, spa and restaurant. It will be the first new gay dance club in 5 years in NYC for the gay community and will cost $ 20 million. Fairly risky in this economy but investing in gays is always a fairly safe bet. That is where the money for extras often is.

Gay news; Washington in favor of domestic partnerships, God hates shellfish so no more Maine lobster for me, marriage equality in NY??

6 11 2009

In Washington State referendum 71 passed yesterday. It was to preserve the new domestic partnerships law and it won with 52% of the votes. I think it is great at least something big was won during Tuesdays election. But I am also wondering why 48% of the people of Washington State are even against domestic partnership. With marriage they can use that marriage is between a man and a woman. But what excuse they use to vote against domestic partnership. Must be pure hate.

So if 53% of Maine is against equality for gays, many citing the bible that God says it’s an abomination for a man to lay with another man. Well in the same bible it says that eating shellfish is an abomination so maybe people should also stop ordering Maine lobster. Since the word of God is more important then the well-being of people, a downfall in the Maine economy is not that big a deal to Maine people.  I am not gonna eat Maine lobster for a while.

Governor Paterson from the State New York has called the senate back for a special session on November 10 and marriage equality is on the agenda. Paterson is a true ally of the gay community( a lot more than the other so-called ally in the white house). Now I hope that more than half of the 62 State Senators will vote in favor of marriage equality, but I have my severe doubts. Let’s try to stay positive though for all LGBT New Yorkers and hope for equality. It’s about time in this state.
