Gay news, Dutch protest Amsterdam/Utrecht, marine gay-bash in Georgia, hate academy in Chicago

14 06 2010

In Amsterdam over 1000 people protested against gay violence. Lately there have been 3 incidents of gays being harassed by Moroccans and people are fed up. The protest as at the gay monument at the Westermarkt. Hope finally something will be done about this huge problem.  Meanwhile in Utrecht people will come together to talk about a gay couple that left their house after being teased, and abused by Moroccan youth. The mayor calls it unacceptable.

2 U.S Marines have gay-bashed 26-year old  man in Savannah, Georgia. The men said they were harassed by the gay men and wanted to get away. Witnesses paint a different story. The Marines thought the gay man winked at them and after that they started to hit him unconscious while hurling slurs. The victim even suffered seizures and is still in the hospital. Fucking animals.

The anti-LGBT group “Americans for truth about homosexuality” are holding a Truth Academy August 5-7 in Coral Steam. It will teach people to be pro-family and learn how to counter gay activists so they can go around telling people who being gay is sinful, immoral and a threat to society. Seems like a wholesome family event.

Top 10 road trip in the U.S.

28 05 2010

Yahoo published a list of THE 10 road trips in the U.S to take. Here they are.

–  Big Sur in California, around Carmel. Did it and loved it ,that area is so spectacular with the views of the ocean and the cliffs.

– Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina. Not yet

– Going to the sun, Montana. Not yet.

– Hana Highway, Hawaii. Not yet. Been to Hawaii but not there.

– Million Dollar Highway, Colorado. Impressive mountains, wildflowers, wildlife and neat little towns.

-Red Rock Scenic By Way, Sedona. So different from anything I had ever seen, just magical. Arizona was the most spectacular scenery I had ever seen in my life. Nothing like that in Europe.

-Sea Island, Georgia. Not yet but close to Savannah where Paula Deen has her restaurant so I will get there eventually.

-Seward Highway, Alaska. Not yet, but Alaska is on my wish list.

-Sonama and Napa valleys, California. Beautiful wine country with tons of great wineries. With a wine-lover as partner I have been there at least times.

U.S Route 1, Maine. 3 years ago my boyfriend and I took a long road-trip trough New England and i adore that area, the pretty english-looking towns, coastal beauty and great food. What more can you want!!

Surprised I did 5 out of 10 already while not being an American and being 31. I bet most 31-year old U.S folk have not done the same!!

Gay news, Prom issues/kicked out of the house, gay soldiers sue general Sheehan, lesbionic sushi roll

25 03 2010

A judge in Mississippi ruled that the prom ban violated the rights of lesbian teen Constance McMillen but he did not reinstate the prom. Now students and parents have organized a private prom that Constance can attend. So good news and bad.

Meanwhile in Georgia openly gay teen Derrick Martin could bring a male date even though the principal did  not agree, she also thought she could not refuse him. The sad news about this is though, that Derricks’ parents have kicked him out of the house following the media attention of him coming out and he know lives with a friend. Monstrous parents.

A group of openly gay soldiers has filed a lawsuit against ex-general Sheehan who made some ridiculous claims last week that the gays in the army were to blame for the fall of Srebrenica. The gay soldiers are supported by almost the entire dutch government/parliament and want a full-page apology in the international press and sensitivity training for Sheehan. Hope they win.

A sushi restaurant in San Francisco has a very interesting roll on the menu ,the lesbionic roll! It is white tuna wrapped in tempura rice noodles over spinach. It sounds tasty but why is it lesbian??
