Gay news, drug against lesbianism, Johnny Weir’s closet, homophobic chants in rugby punished

30 06 2010

It is hard to believe this is true , but pediatric oncologist Maria New of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Florida International University is trying to prevent lesbianism in unborn babies by given to pregnant moms an experimental hormone dexamethasone. She also uses it to prevent girls that do not like playing with girl toys and girls that have manly interests in jobs. Crazy right?? The drug is risky and experimental so what woman would take this?? The kind of woman who does, deserves some health problems, she sure already has mental problems!!

Johnny Weir’s closet is about the gayest thing ever.

The British Rugby Football league has issued a 40K pound penalty to the Castleford team because their fans hurled homophobic chants at openly gay rugby star Gareth Thomas. Great news!!

Arch homophobe Ruben Diaz is at it again. The senate member from the Bronx held anti-gay rallies in New York, was against the Gay Games back in the 90’s in NY and has voted down every pro-gay law ever in New York. While he says he has 2 gay brothers that he loves very much, this time he voted against a law that would allow gay couples to file their state income tax returns jointly. Because the democrats needed all their votes, it has been blown off now. Asshole.

Update Beenie Man

21 06 2010

I am probably not the only that called the organization of Parkpop in the Hague because I just heard they cancelled Beenie Man!! The reason was the negative reactions they got over Beenie Man’s homophobic lyrics. Snoop Dog was apparently not cancelled because of himself but because of rivaling gangs attending his performance!?

Gay news, Austria gay stamp, gay Welsh rugby star, anti-gay day a big fail, Gay pride Slovakia in danger

4 05 2010

The Australian Postal Service has issued the world’s first postage stamp to celebrate gay pride. It is on the occasion of the 15th annual Gay Pride in Vienna. The stamp is worth $0.72 and a bit bland. Just the words Rainbow Parade in German, but still cool it exists.

I reported a while back about the coming out of rugby star Gareth Thomas. He did an interview with SI and talked about how great his team mates were in accepting him and telling him he was still the same and it did not matter. Unfortunately this sunday a small part of the audience during one of his matches was not so gay-friendly. In the match his team on with 19-0 they started chanting homophobic slurs and he was pretty upset. The rugby league has taken action against the “fans”.

Religious Right Wingnuts hosted a 70.000 dollar event at the Lincoln memorial called: ” A cry to God for a nation in distress.” It was lined with Evangelical stars and morons like Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council and Pete LaBarbera from Americans for truth about homosexuality(probably 2 closet-cases themselves) and originally an idea of Huckabee’s inner circle. Only 300 people attended, haha. And that for 70.000 bucks. I post a small clip, the second speaker brings out the laughs!! Starts around 1 minute into the clip

The leader of the Slovakian National Party told media he is not in favor at all of the first Bratislava Pride in May 2010. He wants to attend it if it goes through and spit on the gays there. The extremely nationalistic SNP is a coalition party of the Government in Slovakia.

Gay news, Mugabe rears his ugly head again, Lithuania just as gay friendly as Norway!!??, anti-Derrick rally

27 03 2010

Zimbabwe leaders Mugabe and Tsvirangi are outraged at even the suggestion for gay rights, Mugabe calls homosexuality something that destroys nationhood(like he not already destroyed Zimbabwe single-handedly). In 2006 he already called gays less than pigs and dogs. Poor people of Zimbabwe.

Lithuanian prime minster Kubilius defended his country against allegations from the EU that it would be homophobic by saying it was just as tolerant as Scandinavian countries like Norway and Denmark. What a joke, those countries are some of the most tolerant on the world. Lithuania, not!!

Poor Derrick Martin. First his parents throw him out of the house after finding out he is gay on such a media level. Now some student are holding a anti-Derrick rally because they do not like it that he can bring a boy to the prom and all the attention this brings to their town. Ugly bigots, shame on them. Only positive thing for Derrick, Ellen DeGeneres wants him on her show.

Gay news; homophobic attack in Amsterdam on straight man, Anne Frank diary deemed to filthy for school, Obama keeps disappointing

30 01 2010

A straight older man in Amsterdam who works above the store Gays&Gadgets was standing in font of the store holding a bag from the gay store when 2 younger guys(look Moroccan) started shouting abusive things to the guy and when he walks after them to confront them one of the guys kicks the older guy who kicks back, falls on the floor and the Moroccan guy starts kicking him some more. This was all on camera and that is another sign only cameras at gay hotspots does not help. More police and heavier sentences for the homophobes are the only things that might help.

A revised version of the Diary of Anne Frank called “The Definite Edition” has been pulled by a school system in Virginia. The book that was published on the 50th anniversary of her death in a concentration camp and had according to a parent it had sexually explicit material and homosexual undertones referencing to a passage where Anne has a crush on another girl. Such an important book, one of the most important in the world ever and people complain that their teens read something about a girl-girl crush. Ridiculous.

Obama keeps disappointing the gays by only making promises and not doing anything real. He has promised once more in his State of the Union that Don’t Ask, don’t tell will be repealed, but he did this already before and still nothing has happened on this issue. And during a Town Hall meeting when he was asked about the issue of gay marriage the only thing he came up with was the old and boring gays should be able to go to the hospital when their partner is dying. Dodging the question because he is against it and does not want to upset the gays even more. Especially as a black man he should be in favor of equality.

Gay news, Mrs. Robinson you are a hypocrite, gay marriage the good and the bad, Axel hotel in New York

11 01 2010

How delicious is the scandal homophobic Northern Ireland’s MP Iris Robinson who is married to the Province protestant unionist first minister?? Back in 2008 her reaction to a gay bashing in Ireland was that gays are an abomination and that they should see therapy to become straight again. Now she is herself knees down in a scandal that made her pull out if politics. She had an affair with a 19-year old boy that she funneled $80.000 in secret loans for him to start a cafe. She also fucked the boy’s father and had an affair with another man. The scandal has the potential to bring the entire government down. She still has no regrets for anything she said about gays. Maybe she comes to her senses in the institution she is currently in for mental problems.

While the heavily catholic Portugal became the 6th country in Europe were gays can get married, equality lost yet another time in the U.S. Like New York, the New Jersey senate voted against it this week. Pretty pathetic but it made at least some African-American religious freaks very happy as I saw on many YouTube clips. It is always baffling to see other minorities jump up and down when they see another minority stripped of their rights. Hallelujah!!

After having very popular hotels in Berlin, Barcelona and Buenos Aires, the hetero-friendly chain Axel will also open a hotel in New York. The site will be Hell’s Kitchen and opens in 2011. They also plan to open hotels in L.A and SF. I have never stayed there but have seen pictures of the chain and it looks very elegant and modern. Most gay hotels are a bit dated and not very chic and I never understood why, because most gays like luxury and have a fair bit of money to spent. I bet it will become a huge success.
