Gay news, Anita bitch back, gay basher in NY gets nothing, Today Show and the gays, Broadway Bares

10 07 2010

The original Carrie Prejean, anti-gay beauty queen Anita Bryant will be back in the public eye. She will be in Yukon, Oklakoma for a patriotic performance. It is basically for a group against muslims and gays(cause they are similar?!) It will also coincide with the local Tea Party. Prejean ,who of course is not nearly as bad as Bryant was, got married last weekend to pro football player San Diego quarterback Kyle Boller. She did it in style, at the hotel of anti-gay Doug Manchester.

Driton Nicaj assaulted 3 gay man in 2009 and only got 45 days, less than Lindsay Lohan. Two men required stitches and one men even a metal plate in his skull while he used anti-gay slurs. Apparently the judges think this is not severe. Unbelievable. And why is it so often in civilized places like the Netherlands and New York a non local sounding name?? Those people should go back to their own countries if they cannot be civil in ours.

The Today Show got a lot of slack from pro-gay people by not letting gay couples enter their ” Modern Wedding Contest”. They eventually agreed it was not fair and opened the contest for gays as well. Now of course the right-wing bigots are all up in arms. The American Family Association for instance wants people to boycott the Today show from now on for promoting this “sinful behavior.” Poor Today Show, can’t do it right for everyone. But they did the right thing in my eyes.

Broadway Bares is a yearly show from Broadway Cares in which stars of the theatre strip and dance for HIV/AIDS. They raised an amazing 1 million dollars this year. I have never been but after seeing this footage, count me in for next year!!

School for boys who want to be girls

9 07 2010

New York has its own Vera’s finishing school for boys who want to be girls. Jesse Archer went over there and transformed into Mildred Fierce. For a boy who used to want to be a girl until he was 8(played with My Little Pony’s etc), I have surprisingly enough never been in drag. I think I will probably look like Jesse, not too pretty.

Netherlands in final World Championships soccer

7 07 2010

I am not a big soccer fan, even though I played it as a kids for 8 years, but this is worth mentioning. The Netherlands made it to the final of the World Championships 2010 in South Africa and an estimated 3/4 dutch people watched the end last night. They won every match they played so far and beat Brazil and Uruguay in their last 2 matches. The win over Brazil was definitely very memorable. Holland has never won a World Championship, but did win the European one in 1988 with Gullit and Van Basten. I hope the final will be against Germany, their old-time rival. Germany is probably the better team and definitely mentally often has the upper hand, but anything can happen in a final. I will be watching sunday-night because I am invited to a soccer party. Last matches I watched were those of my nephews who might eventually become good enough for the dutch soccer team in 2025 or something. At least that is what they all think!! Love the fact that my boyfriend in New York is all into the soccer. He is a bigger fan than me for the Dutch.

Naked Cowboy of Times Square is not happy

26 06 2010

Not happy about the Naked Cowgirl Sandy Kane. My taste might be funky, but I love me some naked cowboy and he certainly looks hotter than the cowgirl. He sent her a cease and desist letter so she either gives him a percentage of her money or puts her clothes back on. At least he is hot, she is saggy and fugs. See for yourself.

Gay news, gay acceptance Netherlands, scouts can discriminate, bullying law passes Senate, bigots at Twin Cities Pride

24 06 2010

The accepting of gay people in the Netherlands still leaves a lot to be desired. According to a SCP poll gays are not excepted well by religious people, lowed educated one and Turkish and Moroccans(surprise, surprise) More than half on gay teens has thought about suicide. I can relate, so did I. Still think overall it is pretty good with the acceptance here, but we are not there yet.

A federal court ruled in Philadelphia , that the Boy Scouts can still discriminate against gays even though that goes against the city’s anti-discrimination law. They cannot be kicked out of a city-owned building and do not even have to pay rent, all because of their First Amendment rights. I do not know the specific details about this case/the U.S law enough to know if the city could even get them out with the First Amendment rules in mind but it is ridiculous that gays are still not allowed at the Boy scouts.

After being 9 years in the making New York finally passed an anti-bullying law though the Senate that now only needs to go to Governor Paterson’s desk for a signature. It passed 58-3, except for 3 Republicans. It is only for public school and applies to events on school grounds and school events and will prohibit harassment and discrimination based on gender, sexuality, color, religion and more. Took forever but great is passed.

Am anti-gay Evangelist couple Johnson is allowed to distribute bibles and anti-gay leaflets at Twin Cities Pride. The organizers paid the city 36.000 for the day and want to decide themselves who can have a booth at the parade and want to ban the Johnson’s trough a court-ruling. The religious law firm ADF filed a complaint and say they should be able to be there and speak their hate. The Johnson’s were banned last year but showed up anyway and got arrested. Here is a clip from last year before the arrest. I dunno about this one, there is Freedom of Speech, but these people are just doing it to hate and cause trouble.

Sex and the City 2

19 06 2010

Finally I saw this movie yesterday evening with my sisters. After hearing all the negative reviews and the declining audience-numbers I was very curious to see if it was worse than the first movie or not at all. We were not disappointed. We had a great time, lots of laughs etc, but that might be due to the company as well. The beginning with the gay wedding scene with Liza was fabulous. According to a blog I read it took 300 takes for Liza to get it right but eventually it was pure bliss. Carrie is still the same Carrie; bony, whiney and self-absorbed. Very relatable to me! She needs to grow up a little though, being in your 40’s and still acting like a little girl does not work well anymore on her. With Samantha it is a different thing, she can get away with anything even though she is older. Charlotte was pretty funny, but the same cannot be said for Miranda. In the TV-series she used to be clever and witty but in the movies this does not come across the same at all. Some things in the Middle-East were a little far-fetched but if you love those girls they can get away with a lot. If there is going to be a third installment I want more NY, more sex and more comedy(mot lame but sharp). Regardless, if you are a fan you will love it!! So did we.

Gay news, bigot Arizona mayor, gays still banned from donating blood ,shelter in NY vandalized, Iceland gay marriage

12 06 2010

A Yuma, Arizona mayor does not want a repeal of DADT because lacy-drawered, limp-wristed gays can never do what military people have done in the last. He says Lincoln and Washington would have said the same things. Yeah, the world has not changed in over 100 years.

Against science and odds gays are still not allowed to donate blood. After 2 days of hearings a HHS committee voted 9-6 against recommending lifting the FDA ban on gays donating blood. Anyone that has had gay sex since 1977 is not allowed to donate. Retarded.

A shelter in Queens, New York for homeless LBGT Youth was hit with anti-gay vandalism thursday night. One of the walls read “We don’t want gays here.” What a bunch of fucking cowards to do that to kids that are already so vulnerable and often abused. The Ali Forney is such a great initiative because so many LGBT youth have no home after parents disown then and throw them out. Donations are always needed.

Iceland’s parliament voted 49-0!!!  to legalize gay marriage. Wish the U.S would only have 60% of that. Iceland is also the country with the first elected openly gay head of state and a country I would love to visit for its natural beauty. With their economy in the shitter they know that there are way more important things then to keep people from being equal in love.
