Gossip, Lady Gaga/Grace Jones, Karen the Musical, new CBS shows, Ricky M dated homophobe

23 04 2010

Grace Jones is not a Lady Gaga fan. Gaga loves Grace Jones and calls her a big influence but Grace Jones refused to work together because she thinks Lady Gaga is a copy-cat. Pretty pathetic from Grace Jones, but she was super original in her days, I have to admit that. This will definitely not stop me from seeing Lady Gaga in concert next month in the Netherlands together with my sisters though!! Should be fabulous!

After rumors for a long time it is now official. Megan Mullaly has announced she will tour as Karen from Will&Grace  in a musical. That should be so funny, I will sure as hell go there. Maybe she can get Beverly Leslie as a special guest.

CBS is coming up with 2 new shows. The first one will suck big-time I except. It will be a “the View” rip-off. It will be with Julie Chen, Lisa Rinna, Bethenny Frenkel(ughhhh) from the Real Housewives and Sarah Gilbert(from Roseanne). The last one is the only interesting one imo. And then there will be a show that will be a Will&Grace-esque copy of Regis and Kelly. The show will be with Tori Spelling and one of her gay friend. That could be good.

Ricky Martin is rumored to have been in a relationship with closeted homophobe Eduardo Verastegui. The model and actor is drop-dead gorgeous but heavily campaigned against gay-marriage during Prop 8. That would be pretty bad.

Gay news; gay marriage in Mexico City and Washington DC, catholic church and gays make up, anti-gay senator arrested for DUI after leaving gay club

4 03 2010

From today on gay marriage and gay adoption become legal in Mexico City. Mexico City is much more open-minded than the overall very religious country so gays fear a backlash that will take away their rights. And in Washington DC following a Supreme Court ruling Tuesday, gays are allowed to start applying for marriage licenses there as well. Bigots were trying everything to get the Supreme Court to decide different but luckily they did not believe in their hatred.

The catholic church and gays in the Netherlands were in a fight last week and over the weekend, something I blogged about Sunday and before, but the church has backed off a bit. They will no longer seek to bar gays from taking communion. They heavily attacked St. Jan’ church in Den Bosch says it will leave it up to believers to decide whether they are ready to receive communion. Seems like the whole country thought the catholic church was going way too far. Even the very catholic senior citizens at my mom’s work thought gays should get communion and be treated normal.

The dogs that bark the loudest….  California state Senator Roy Ashburn, a divorced father of 4 was arrested for DUI after leaving a gay club, Faces, in Sacramento with an unidentified male passenger. Ashburn has voted in favor of Prop8, against Harvey Milk day and against expansion to include sexual orientation as a protected class in the state’s insurance laws. What a fucking hypocrite.

Prop 8 Trial

23 01 2010

The prop 8 trial has gone on for 2 weeks now and has been very interesting so far. First of all the Supreme Court denied camera’s in the court room as requested by the anti-gay marriage groups. They do not want their bigot faces made public. Many people have critiques that decision and rightly so. To the woman who asked on my blog if being against gay marriage meant you are a bigot I would like to say, if you spent money or energy and time crusading against equal rights for all, then yes you are a bigot. It was also made public that the Mormon church had even more influence in the campaign and has tried to cover-up their involvement. Something most people already knew, but was never official. They had identified a volunteer in every zip code crusading against gay marriage. Then the religious freaks keep saying that they get discriminated and abused as well giving examples of yard signs being taken from their garden, because everyone knows that this is about as bad as being beating or killed for being gay. The pro gay lawyers in the trial had a very interesting homophobe as a witness, mister  Hak-Shing William Tam from a Chinese American evangelical christian group. He said that if same-sex marriage is treated as a civil right then polygamy and incest and pedophilia would be as well. AND NOW COMES THE BEST PART. He believes that because(according to him) in the Netherlands polygamy and incest are also legal now after gay marriage became legal here in 2001!!. Who seriously believes that?? What a buffoon!! He had read that somewhere on the internet so it is true!! And that person is a doctor?? Great from the lawyers to get an idiot like that on the stand.

Gay news; banning divorce, anti-gay killing in Jamaica, gay bar raided in Atlanta

13 09 2009

A man from Sacramento came up with something really good. A ban on divorce!!He is gonna stand in front of Wal-Mart’s in the area to ask people to sign a petition for traditional marriage. He is gonna interview people on why they think marriage is important and then say he wants to ban divorce. If people who were voting against prop 8 really don’t do it to take right away from gays then they should sign this petition as well. He wants to have it on the ballot in 2010.

An honorary consul for the British queen in Jamaica has been killed in a brutal anti-gay killing. The man was married but lived separated and  as a bi-sexual. He was an escort for the queen a few times while she was in Jamaica. John Terry was strangled and robbed in his own house. Police found a letter on the body calling him a “batty” man(slang for homosexual) and  “this will happen to all gays”. I knew Jamaica was anti-gay, but this is really getting out of hand. Hope something will be done about this now, unfortunately too late for the poor man.

What the fuck is up with the police forces lately. After the much talked about raid of a gay bar in Texas a few weeks back, now the same sorta thing happened in Atlanta. Both patrons and staff was arrested and handcuffed and the way it happened was very derogatory and insulting. Cops were looking for drugs while people were forced to lay on the ground and were searched in a very aggressive manner.  A rally was held yesterday-night in protest to the raid. Do cops get any diversity training at all in the U.S???

Gay news;church removes Pepsi, Missouri, dirty Republican

10 09 2009

A christian mega-church in Florida had all it’s 10 Pepsi vending machines removed of the premises because Pepsi supports the homosexual lifestyle. The reason for that is Pepsi’s donation to fight prop 8. Now they have changed to Coca-Cola, but apparently they do not know Coca Cola also supports full-equality.

My sister-in-law lives in Missouri so when I read something about there I always am extra interested. Well, the city council of Springfield(her favorite shopping city) is gonna remove a gay sex solicitation law of 1976. Until now it was unlawful for any person in a public place to invite or entice a person of the same gender for sex. Even though this law was not really enforced anymore it was time to have it removed, it was just too ridiculous for words in the year 2009.

Republican’s like to talk dirty. California Assembly man Michael Duvall, who is against gay marriage and portrayed himself as a “family values’ guy has resigned after a rather embarrassing  incident. The married father of two did not know he was talking in an open mic when speaking about affairs with female lobbyists. He told one of the girls was wearing eye-patch underwear and she told him when she walked down the stairs he was “leaking out of her”. What a great family man this is, I bet his kids and wife are super proud.

Gay news; Levi naked?, Prop 8, gay teen beaten up

18 08 2009

Prop 8’s repeal will most likely not be  until 2012.  Lots of groups and papers like Equality California and the L.A. Times think 2010 will be too early. Forging alliances with minority groups, lining up financial support and getting a better campaign staff then this year takes time they say. While I agree faults have been made before I think people’s opinions have changed already since the prop 8 election with other states already having gay marriage. Why wait until 2012 when the support probably will be there already in 2010. Who knows what might happen after that. Maybe another war or something that changes people’s views again to the more conservative side.

A 15- year old boy from Michigan was assaulted last week and left with bruises, skull fractures and a broken lip. He told his parents and friends a while back that he is gay and 2 older teens apparently thought they needed to attack him. He is a brave guy and said afterwards they did not break his spirit. The case is being treated like a hate crime. Hope those little brats will end up in jail for a while.

The major of Anchorage, Alaska has vetoed a ban against discrimination based on sexual orientation, saying it is unclear such a thing exist!!. The measure was the subject of intense public interest and debate all summer. The Anchorage Assembly can override the veto of Republican Sullivan with 8 votes. 7 voted in favor of the ban in the first place. What an idiot, of course it exists.

It did not take long before Levi Johnston was made on offer after he said last week he would pose naked for the right amount of money. Nude magazine Unzipped ,who previously paid former lover of Portland’s major Adams a nice amount of cash is  willing to do the same for Levi. He gets a free interview with it as well in the nation’s most sold nude men’s magazine. I highly doubt he will do it, but maybe he should. His 5 minutes of fame will be up anytime soon.
