Gay news, Denmark gay adoption, Pride cancelled in Lithuania, hate crime charges dismissed in Brooklyn murder, drag queen dance-off

7 05 2010

I am surprised in a country like Denmark this was not law before but since this week the parliament passed a vote giving gay couples equal adoption rights. Until now they could only adopt individually or adopt the children of the one of the partners as step-children. Great news

Not so great is that in Lithuania, Gay Baltic Pride was banned. The court in the capital of Vilnius decided that. The court ruled that the parade could lead to public disturbances and say they can’t guarantee the safety of the participants. Nice excuse for not wanting it to happen.

This summer  in Brooklyn about a hate crime against Jose Suzuchanay and his brother. The two straight Ecuadorian men were walking arm in arm on the street. Jose was drunk and his brother was helping him. Two thugs thought they were gay and started screaming anti-gay slurs and anti-hispanic slurs to them and eventually beat Jose to death. Hakim Scott and Keith Phoenix were “only” found guilty of manslaughter and attempted assault. Pretty unbelievable to me.

And to finish of the news, something to make you smile. It is a dance-off between to Drag Queen in Sydney. And the girls can dance!!

Gossip, Larry king,Priscilla Queen of the Desert/Wizard of Oz, Taylor Lautner gay?, Mel Gibson split, Nicole Ritchie/Coco in camel-toe war

18 04 2010

What a fool Larry King is. Fucking with his sister-in-law. And then buying her expensive gifts so his wife can find out. Well, he is a sex-symbol in his own eyes so obviously all women are throwing themselves on him. Now he and his wife say they wanna try to work it out though, if she deserves him.

The movie Priscilla Queen of the Desert is one of my all-time favorites. You can understand my joy with hearing it will come to Broadway as a musical. It has been in the theaters in Sydney and London and is a huge hit there. I also heard they will make a prequel to the movie the Wizard of Oz with Johnny Depp as Scarecrow.I dunno about that idea, that is such an iconic movie.

Rumors about actor Taylor Lautner’s sexuality haven been very strong since he became famous with the movie Twilight. His legions of girl fans are probably not happy to hear that he attended a party of a well-known gay socialite last weekend. The party was almost entirely attended by gay man so he is either a fag hag or…

Mel Gibson portraying that loving religious person that he likes to be is becoming more and more ridiculous. First the anti-semitic tirades, then the cheating on his wife and now he has allegedly already split with his new wife Oksana Grigorieva. They have a 5-month old baby together. Joan Rivers said in a reply that Gibson should just die. Love me some Joan!

Nicole Ritchie and rapper Ice-T’s wife Coco are in a war on Twitter. She typed her friend said that Coco’s famous camel-toe will swallow you up and after Ice and Coco acted a little pissed, Nicole got scared and begged for forgiveness. I like Coco and her camel-toe. It is fun to watch and she is not afraid to show her assets.

Australian Open day 1

18 01 2010

The roof in Melbourne is normally used for the heat but today they used it against the rain. On courts with no roof many matches were stopped or cancelled all together. Biggest upset of the day was Maria Sharapova losing against fellow country woman Maria Kirilenko(number 55 in the world) after a 3.5 hour battle 6-7 6-3 4-6.  At times Sharapova played good but overall it was pretty erratic again with 77 unforced errors. The service is still not working and basically has not worked since she came back from injury last May. From a weapon it has turned into a liability. Kirilenko, arguably the prettiest girl on tour, can play great tennis and she showed that for a change again in a major match. Kim Clijsters, Justine Henin and Elena Dementieva all won fairly easy in 2 sets leading up so a Dementieva-Henin second round match up. Way to early in the tournament because with Clijsters and Serena Williams they are the top favorites for the title in my opinion, but Henin is not seeded so that is why. I think Dementieva will win because she seems in great shape after an easy 2 sets win against Serena Williams in the finals at Sydney this weekend.

100-year old Granny wins gold

14 10 2009

Australia’s Ruth Frith won a gold medal at the World Masters Games(Olympics for the oldies) in Sydney this weekend. She did not have to do much, because she was the only participant in her age category, 100-104. She threw a ball 4.07m. To get to this she bench presses, does not smoke or drink and does NOT eat her vegetables and advises everyone to leave the veggies off the plate!!
