Gay news, Supreme Court rules bigots be made public, European countries can decide on gay marriage themselves, Woman sues baptist church

25 06 2010

The highest court in the U.S, the Supreme Court, has ruled that the names of petition signers in Washington State Referendum 71 have to be made public. That means that people who signed an attempt to overturn a “pro gay” domestic partnerships law will be for all known as bigots. Conservatives tried to block the release of signatures fearing retributions, but all members of the court except for Clarence Thomas voted against them. Good news.

A High Court in Europe has ruled against 2 gays from Austria that wanted to get married. The court thinks the decision about marriage should be left up to the individual countries themselves and since there is a registered partnership in Austria that should be enough. As long the poor countries in Europe get their money from the Netherlands, Belgium and Scandinavia, they wanna have as little to do with our morals as possible and stay back in the Middle Ages.

An African-American woman sued her Covenant Baptist Church because they include gays and welcome same-sex unions. She says she gave$ 250.000 in past donations and wanted that back. She went to a gay wedding at the church just to see if it was real and she said it was disgusting. Now she dropped the lawsuit (because she had no chance in hell) and found herself a new bigot church. That from a woman who in her youth also was discriminated for being black. Unbelievable.

Gossip, Beatty’s daughter trans, Lady Gaga/Yankees, royal wedding Sweden, Kathy Griffin

21 06 2010

The daughter of actors Warren Beatty and Annette Bening, 18-year-old Kathlyn wants a gender reassignment surgery to make her a man. She has been calling herself Steven for a while now while attending college. Must be so hard for parents, but all you can do is love you child regardless.

Lady Gaga has made herself the center of attention at a baseball game of the Yankees again, according to several media. Apparently two weeks ago she  gave people the finger after they booed her and now she was dressed in only underwear and a Yankees blouse and walked into the dressing room of the players after a lost match. Apparently that is a no-no, so people were pissed. Gaga has been a fan for years already so they probably told her to come into the dressing room and two weeks I think she gave the paparazzi the finger, not the fans. But I am prejudiced in favor of Lady Gaga of course.

The crown princess of Sweden, Victoria married her former personal trainer and gym owner Daniel Westling saturday. It was the first big royal wedding in quite sometime and as a good gay I watched it to see the dress, which was boring as was the whole ceremony. I always have a soft spot for Scandinavians, but this…

Kathy Griffin’s new season “My life on the D-list “opened a little disappointing with only 695.000 viewers on Bravo. Last year’s opening had 945.000. I think last year’s idea for the show and visiting famous people was not great and people might have been turned off by that. This year promises more Kathy in her real life and around her mom, which I like best anyway. Negative news about Kathy and Lady Gaga, two of my favs today. Do not like that.

Gay news, DWTS gay marriage, Navratilova breast cancer, gay marriage Iceland, bomb threat gay bar Zurich

At this week’s Dancing with the Stars Dutch Louis van Amstel danced with Niecy Nash a waltz with the theme of an interracial couple in the 60’s who could not marry. Louis told the TV audience that for gays that still is the same way and that everybody should be able to get married. According to Elisabeth Hasselbitch at The View the show should have not featured comments about gay marriage. Uhmmm?? Why not, it is a dance show for heaven’s sake with all the glitter and glamour.

Tennis super star Martina Navratilova told media yesterday that she has breast cancer. The 53-year-old 9-time Wimbledon champion is expected to make a full recovery but was upset about not being able to have full control of her life and body. I love Martina and wish good luck.

There will likely be gay marriage in Iceland in June. The tiny country of 320.000 already have domestic partnerships since 1996 and an openly lesbian prime minister and will now have full equality soon. Scandinavian countries rock when it comes to equal rights.

A gay nightclub in Zurich, Switzerland had to be evacuated on Easter sunday for a possible bomb threat. The threat was specifically made against the gay Jack Company party and police cleared the space for an hour before letting partygoers continue

Marriage equality battles

21 10 2009

The Marriage Equality battle keeps getting more and more intense. A new public policy poll shows an exact tie in Maine. Meanwhile in Washington the anti-gayers keep showing more and more lies in their ads.Protect Marriage Washington says in an ad that in 2004 Scandinavia legalized gay marriage and in that year alone suicide doubled and illicit drug use increased 19 times. What a bunch of bullshit, first Scandinavia is not a country, no Scandinavian country legalized gay marriage in 2004 and the other numbers are just to ridiculous for words. Do people really believe lies like that??
