Gossip, Janice Dickinson on Celeb Rehab, Paris Hilton arrested for pot, Lady Gaga/Westboro Baptist Church

18 07 2010

Janice Dickinson, the world’s first supermodel and reality star will be on the upcoming season of Celebrity Rehab to be treated for an alcohol addiction. Good she is looking for some help, but it might also only be for publicity. She certainly is the show’s biggest star and will get a nice paycheck.

For the second time in a few weeks, Paris Hilton was arrested for possession of marijuana. First at the World Cup in South Africa and now in Corsica at an airport. Both times she was released very quickly. I was so jealous after seeing the massive bed she has in the jet she travels with that I would not mind seeing her behind bars for a few days.

Some protesters from the Westboro Baptist Church of Fred Phelps showed up at a Lady Gaga concert in St. Louis. They had previously recorded a clip on YouTube in which they call Gaga a whore and more and now they try to ruin the fun for people at the concert, because Lady is pro-gay. She asked her fans to ignore the morons and most of them did. Some brought banners saying God loves Gaga/Gays and God for Everyone.

Gossip, Speidi going nuts, BFF’s Lynne Spears/Real Housewife, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and airports do not get along, Joan Rivers’ movie

17 05 2010

Wow, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag seem to have lost it completely now.Heidi called the cops on her mother who came by unannounced. Heidi says that after what her mother did to her on TV(basically telling her the truth about her plastic surgery) she does not wanna see her anymore. She is calling her mom psychotic and wants a restraining order. Meanwhile she is apparently only staring in the mirror the whole day and Spencer stands outside with crystals in his hands and binoculars to see if either his or her family will show up…

There are some new BFF’s in town. Real Housewife of NYC Jill Zarin and Lynne Spears, mom of Britney. They dined together and Lynne wants parenting advice from Jill. Kinda strange for someone writing a book about parenting huh?? Well, Lynne did a bad job and Jill seems like a great and smart mom so it is a wise move.

Crazy eyed Jonathan Rhys Meyers, great in the Tudors, got himself in trouble again with an airline/at an airport. After being arrested at the Dublin airport in 2007 for being drunk and hitting someone at Charles de Gaulle in Paris where he was detained by the French and put into handcuff, this time he drank so much during a United Airlines flight(my favorite airline) that he acted like a giant asshole and is no black-listed by the airline and will never be allowed to fly with the again. Must have been pretty severe then!

My favorite comedienne is Kathy Griffin but a good second is Joan Rivers. I love that crazy foul-mouthed babe and was excited to see that a new documentary about her life called A piece of work will be released in June and it looks fantastic. On Youtube I found a clip.

Flying through London Heathrow with BA around X-mas equals disaster

31 12 2009

The week before flying through Heathrow Airport there was talk of a BA strike around the Holidays. Even though BA personnel is about the least helpful and friendly from all airlines and gets paid the most, they wanted more money. We changed flights to KLM but because BA was forbidden to strike by a court decision me and my boyfriend had to keep our original BA tickets otherwise it would have cost us an extra 900 dollar. Arriving from New York to London on the 22nd of December we arrived at the BA gate at around 8 in the morning and saw that our flight to Amsterdam was cancelled because of bad weather. There was no bad weather in London and not in Amsterdam, either but it was all weather related anyway according to the ground staff. After waiting in line for an hour a bitchy queen helped us and we could be the 40th!!! stand-by for the flight to Amsterdam at 11.40. No, having business class seats would not do us any good he said, we just had to wait like everybody else. First we had to get our luggage with all the other stranded exhausted people(no flights were going to anywhere else in the UK either) People had waited for hours but we “only” had to wait for over an hour to retrieve our bags and try to check in for the next flight to Amsterdam. Unfortunately thousands of other people had to wait as well so by the time we were being helped it was already 11. Being business class we should have been on the 11.40 flight according to the person helping us then, but now it was already too late and he was sorry for the way the bitch before had treated us.We were booked on the 4.40 to Amsterdam and that one was definitely going he assured us. We had to wait for over 4 hours on the airport while I had not slept for almost 30 hours and was getting fairly moody and upset by that point as was my partner. Slowly our wait came to an end  and at 4 pm we were ready to go board our flight to Amsterdam again. Just to find out this flight was cancelled as well due to lack of staff. Our initial theory that many BA people would just call in sick instead of a strike seemed to become the truth. BA was having none of that though and according to them it was all weather related(sure!!) Next flight the following day at 3 pm. Around us people were crying for having to miss the flight home for another day, but BA just acted like people should not give them such a hard time and that they were the victim. We have the money to pay for a ridiculously expensive hotel at Heathrow Airport but many don’t. Those people just have to sleep at the airport. Next day with an hour delay from London Gatwick ,which is a tranquil heaven compared to Heathrow, we arrived in Amsterdam. It had cost us 1500 dollars and a full day, thanks BA!!. Since two years ago I was stranded there as well for almost a full day( left at 9 at night instead of 9 in the morning) and my partner being delayed 6 hours last year I would recommend everyone to avoid Heathrow and BA around X-mas like the plague.
