Johnny Weir will not skate competitively this coming season, but he will not retire just yet though and hopes to be back 2011-2012 and also at the Winter Olympics in Sochi in 2014. Johnny has a new book coming out, a music single, a second season of his hit TV-show, a clothing line and lots of skating exhibits. I think it is wise with all the media attention he has been getting to take a year off, to just do fun things and keep training and reinventing himself as a skater. He has been doing so much media that he already would be far back in training right now and that would have meant a bad season anyway. As long as he does indeed come back!

U.K. singer and presenter Cheryl Cole’s condition is getting a little better and she left ICU earlier today but still needs to be in the hospital for quite sometime. She even had to go to a specialist hospital better equipped to deal with malaria a few days back as she kept getting sicker and sicker and that seemed to be the only logical option.Cole has the most deadly form of the illness, called cerebral malaria or brain malaria. Because of this she has fluid behind her lungs and is at risk for blood entering the lungs which could stop her vital organs from working. Hope she will be fine, I saw her once during a dinner at London’s Blue Elephant and this woman is one of the most hottest ones in the world. Even a gay man can tell that!!

A music festival in the Hague, the Netherlands this coming sunday has cancelled Snoop Dog because he was not open and family friendly enough?? His replacement in Beenie Man, the homophobic reggae artist from Jamaica. In his lyrics he talked about executing gays and gay sex being disgusting. Sounds better than Snoop Dog right??? WTF. I just called the organization and they told me the city council of the Hague is against Snoop Dog performing and they think Beenie Man is OK now because he wrote an agreement last year that he would not ever sing about such things again. Something he only did because otherwise he did not get any gigs anymore,I said but the guy on the phone told me (very nicely) I cannot look in his brain and that is true. Hope the city council will do something about this, I sent them a digital complaint and am probably not the only one.

I always thought (f)Eminem was not a real gay hater like his music implies. In a recent interview with the NYT he says he is fine with gay marriage and thinks gays that love another should have the same right to be miserable as straight couples. Unlike most gay men in Europe I am not a huge fan of this yearly event watched by million and millions of people. In between commercial breaks I saw the english and german entries, who I saw later on ended first and last. The english guy was kinda cute but the song very old-fashioned and he song very off-key. The german girl looked cool, smiled a lot and the song is pretty catchy. Little bit Lily Allen-esque. The accent though, posh english with crappy german-english thrown in. It gave Germany its first win since 1982!! Then it was still Western-Germany.

It seems that everyone is upset with the sentence of the Malawian gay couple yesterday. They got 14 years in jail and hard labour for being in love. First our minister for foreign affairs, christian democrat Maxime Verhagen called it terrible and says Malawi does not get any money from the Netherlands.He also calls for EU sanctions against Malawi. Madonna who is building a school there  also says she is shocked and saddened and thinks Malawi took a giant step backwards. The White House send out a statement strongly condemning it.

An Australian Labor MP(strong family values!) has resigned yesterday after being filmed leaving a gay sex sauna and club. He even used the ministerial car to go there. He is married with 2 children. Why are it always the “family values” guys.

Australian footballer leagues Jason Akermanis had the message for gay players to stay in the closet. He told in a column in the Herald Tribune that AFL footy is not ready for it. Since the start of Lady Gaga storming to the top of the charts, 2 years ago, Christina Aguilera has dissed her. First asking if she was a men, then calling Gaga last week a newcomer(after having six number 1’s already) and saying she was “fun” to look at. It has also been really obvious Aguilera has been copying styles of Lady Gaga for basically everything she does lately. Now she wants the feud to be over and be good colleagues, a little late after all the digs. I like both, but Lady Gaga obviously more.

Boy George is not happy about a documentary the BBC did on his life  called “Worried About the Boy,” saying the only good thing was the make-up. He said the TV-movie was poorly written and had no heart. Boy George always criticises everyone and everything so not a surprise. Still think he is fabuloso though.

The whole right-wing media in the US is in a shitstorm after Lebanese immigrant Rima Fakih, a muslim/christian, was named Miss USA yesterday. I can kinda understand the shock about this for some people, but the girl was brought to the US as a baby, lived her NY and went to a catholic school. Her views seem to be pretty open-minded as well, for instance on birth control so I think she has american values. It also proves the US is diverse and she sure is extremely pretty.

Elton John is not allowed to sing at a music festival in Egypt may 18 because they do not want people who are gay and anti-religion there. Elton has been critical of the middle east and said people were still unsafe while being out as gay there(true). In Morocco they also wanted him banned. The Islamic Party said he would encourage homosexuality there but the organizers say he is there not because of his sexuality but for his singing qualities. If I would be him I would not even go there in the first place.

George Rekers,( of the rentboy scandal) was paid $120K to testify against gay adoption in Florida back in 2009. The person that recommended him(urged to hire him) in a letter is the Attorney General of the state Bill McCollum. He was paid with tax-payers money and now the people from Florida demand the $120K be paid back, either by McCollum himself or his campaign fund. McCollum is running for Governor now and of course wants this scandal to go away as quick as possible.

The Massachusetts elementary school St Paul has refused to accept a little boy because he has 2 mommies. On of the moms says she is accustomed to discrimination because of her being a lesbian of a certain age but did not expect this against her child. The school said her relationship is against the teachings of the catholic church and teachers would not be prepared to answer question about sexuality. How pity is this, 2 days in a row I have to report about kids being the victim of bigots. Just tell children some kids have 2 moms or 2 dads, done. Kids do not care as long as their parents tell them that it is ok. There might be some teasing but that also happens about kids with red hair and fat kids. You do not forbid those people to get kids either.

It is getting closer and closer to the opening of the new Sex and the City movie and some of the posters have made people laugh out loud because of the ridiculous Photoshop. Both Miranda and Charlotte look fairly normal, Carrie and mostly Samantha though look like dolls. And they want us to believe they are dolls to another in real life as well and the chemistry is still there. The rumors about them not getting along at all are not true according to the ladies. Yes, there is some tension here and there after 90-hour weeks but that is normal. Fight or no fights, I can’ wait for the movie.

This is not a porn title or a weird news flash, but this is about me. My taste in music is pretty “gay”. Britney Amber, Lady Gaga etc. My taste in TV shows, especially when I am in the U.S, is probably not considered to be really “manly” either. My favorite is Ru Paul’s Drag Race and I love most of gay channel Logo. I like Hoarders and almost all the Real Housewives franchises, Tabatha’s Salon Takeover, Kathy Griffin, Shear Genius, Top Chef and more Bravo-shit. The most “butch” thing I watch is Big Love. Enough said. That is why when I was asked last week to cultivate some  farmland belonging to my uncle with a big Fendt tractor(over 200 horsepower) and with a big plow behind it, I had to do it. Just to feel like a real men’s man for a change. And it did feel good and very butch. To still feel like myself I did listen to Ru Paul and other gay tunes on my Ipod and I wondered if there is any other guy on a tractor in the rest of the world listening to the same music??
